These terms apply when you sign up for or use Shine Roster, our online software for managing cleaning and detailing businesses. By starting a trial or subscription you agree to them on behalf of your business.

1. Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. The person who signs up is the account owner and is responsible for everyone they give access to, including office managers and cleaners. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business.

2. Free trial

New businesses get a 14-day free trial with no card required. At the end of the trial you need to choose a paid plan to keep adding jobs and people. Your records stay readable if you don't.

3. Plans, fees and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance in the currency you choose (AUD or USD) through our payment provider, Stripe. Each plan includes one person; each additional active office manager or cleaner adds the per-person fee shown on our pricing page. When you add, archive or restore people, or change plans, your bill is adjusted automatically and Stripe may charge or credit the difference for the rest of the billing period.

If a payment fails we'll retry it and let you know. If it still can't be collected, we may limit your account to read-only until it's paid. We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from your next billing period.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel any time from Plan & billing in the app. Your plan continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and then stops renewing. See our refund policy.

5. Your data

The information you put into Shine Roster (jobs, customers, staff, payments and files) belongs to your business. You're responsible for having the right to collect it, including your customers' and staff's personal information, and for using it lawfully. We handle it as described in our privacy policy. You can ask us for an export of your data at any time while your account is open and for 30 days after it closes.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Shine Roster to break the law, to send spam, to store information you don't have the right to hold, or to try to access another business's data or interfere with the service.

7. The service

We work hard to keep Shine Roster available and secure, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features over time. Shine Roster helps you run your business; it isn't financial, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your own bookkeeping, tax and payroll obligations.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits or lost data.

9. Ending your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after giving notice where reasonable.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We may update them; if a change is significant we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
